The BlueBird of today is very different to the yacht launched for Malcolm Campbell, yet she retains her character along with many of the original pieces we salvaged as she was stripped down. Today, she looks closer to the way she did in 1938 than she has since the 1960s, largely due to the Watson team’s meticulous research and, in particular, William Collier’s on-going insistence that we ‘return to the original where possible’.
