BlueBird is a seaworthy boat. With her new, zero-speed stabilisers and heavy displacement she has proved to be comfortable in virtually any sea. The most uncomfortable voyage so far was a night trip from St. Kitts to Antigua with a nasty head sea having reduced us to 6 knots with a lot of pitching. Despite this, I was actually sound asleep until rudely awakened by a heavy bedside light of Zabranno wood, nickel and glass, landing squarely on my head. The captain said she felt very safe, and not once did BlueBird miss a beat.
